I have always appreciated Nicholas’ style of adding depth to his characters. He has a profound back story for both of his lead characters and has beautifully described their struggles and relationship with life. His impactful and detailed description of Zimbabwe makes you feel as if you are there. The author’s style of inserting himself in the story-line is intriguing and done well.
