Why Should You Read This?

A Disney books release built on an iconic story – The Headless Horseman. This is the perfect time for a book like this one. Spooky, nostalgic, and a modern day retelling. I believe this is not the author’s finest work, but it is packed with Disney nostalgia, and that is all I needed to keep going.

The book includes two timelines – one is present day, and the other is 200 years ago. I loved how the older timeline was represented through diary or journal entries. I enjoy such books, and it takes immense skill to present it in the right way.

The book is not a five star read, but I loved how the author has stayed true to the Disney movie, and leveraged the visualisation masterpiece that it was. A perfect Halloween read. Creepy in the right places and for the right amount.
