UPDATE: Police say that a Hispanic male was stabbed in the back and the chest on Anderson Street. The victim is listed in critical condition at this time. Police report that the investigation ongoing.
TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Police, Trenton Fire Department, Trenton EMS and Capital Health Paramedics were dispatched to the 100 Block of Anderson Street near Kent Street for a reported male stabbed multiple times in the chest at 8:41 p.m. A short time later at 8:47 p.m. Trenton EMS and Captial Health Paramedics were transporting the victim to the Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center a “Trauma Alert” was called. Trenton Police are investigating there is not further information available at this time. This is a developing story check back for further information when it becomes available.

LAKEWOOD, NJ (OCEAN)–Around 1:18 p.m. yesterday December 4, 2021 Lakewood Fire Department responded to a fire that grew to 2-Alarms at 1618 Monmouth Avenue.

Around 1:18pm Lakewood dispatch received a call for a reported structure fire with pets trapped and flames-smoke showing from the first floor. It was reported that someone was trying to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. Ladder 5 was first due, and E-5 reported that they saw the column in the air on the way to the scene and called for a general alarm. Chief 2 showed up just after L-5 & E-5. They were met with heavy fire from the first floor and started an attack plan while hooking to the nearest hydrant in front of the fire building. Soon Chief 2 called for a 2nd Alarm and the fire started to grow. About 15 mins later they had fire from the 1st & 2nd floor and through the roof. Mutual aid was called to the scene and the was knocked down about 30 mins later. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Stations responding to the scene – All Lakewood Stations Station 21 Station 23 & 24 Stations 27,29,30 Station 75 Stations 42 Howell Township for a ladder.

Update: Police responded to a shot spotter activation for twelve rounds on South Walter Street. Further investigation revealed one individual shot in the leg non-life threatening. No additional details are available at this time.
TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Details are still sketchy at this hour but there was a shooting around 2:15 p.m. this afternoon in the 1st Block of South Walter Street. Trenton Police, Trenton EMS and Capital Health Paramedics responded to the scene. It was observed that there were at least 7 spent shell casings on the ground and a crime scene was set up around South Walter and Wilmar Alley.
No further information is available at this time.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–During the overnight hours, (5) vehicles had tires punctured with an unknown sharp object while parked at Freedom Village. West Windsor Police Department was alerted to this incident while also handling a Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian on Route 1. The WWPD is actively investigating this incident(s) of Criminal Mischief involving many victims.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)—West Windsor Police were detailed to Route 1 North Bound near “The Square of West Windsor” Shopping Center for a car vs pedestrian accident at 6:22 a.m. West Windsor Emergency Services, Princeton Junction Fire Company, West Windsor Fire Company, and Capital Health Paramedics were also detailed to the scene. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Police say the initial investigation revealed that a 2015 Nissan Altima driven by a 31-year-old female Plainsboro resident was traveling north bound on US Route 1 in the right lane and was approaching the area of “The Square at West Windsor” Shopping Center. A pedestrian a 64-year-old male from West Windsor had traversed the deceleration lanes of US Route 1 north bound and entered into the right lane of US Route 1 north bound into the direct path of the Nissan Altima. The pedestrian was struck by the Nissan and continued into the shoulder portion of the roadway and came to its final resting place. The pedestrian remained mostly embedded in the vehicle’s windshield and front passenger area.
The collision yielded all US Route 1 north lanes closed from Quakerbridge Road to Meadow Road for approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes for the investigation. On December 6, 2021, the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit was contacted by the driver ofthe suspect vehicle who stated he wanted to turn himself in for the crash. At approximately9:00am, Calvin Janicsek, 22yoa male from Willingboro, arrived at Hamilton PoliceHeadquarters and turned himself in, stating he was the driver of the vehicle. Probable cause wasestablished and he was subsequently charged with Knowingly Leaving the Scene of anAccident Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, and Endangering an Injured Victim.The investigation is still ongoing and any witnesses are asked to contact the HamiltonPolice Traffic Unit at (609)581-4000.Every defendant is presumed innocent until being found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
in a court of law.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–On December 5, 2021 at approximately 2:17am a 17-year-old male Hamilton resident was walking westbound on Rt 33 in the area of Weston Ave when he was struck by a vehicle that was also traveling westbound. The suspect vehicle fled the area and is described as a dark colored Ford Mustang with damage to the windshield, front grill and passenger side headlight area. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Capital Health Hospital at Fuld for treatment.
The crash is being investigated by Officer Hendricksen and Officer Micharski of the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Hamilton Police Traffic Unit at (609)581-4000.
