WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–West Windsor Police, West Windsor and Princeton Junction Fire Departments, Emergency Services were all dispatched to Clarksville Road approximately 8/10 of a mile North of Quakerbridge Road (at former BASF property near the pigpens) for a serious accident involving an overturned car at 3:54 am.
The driver was found to be entrapped and unconscious upon West Windsor Patrol Units’ arrival. The Princeton Junction Fire Company worked to extricate the driver from his 2009 Honda Accord which was at its final rest on its passenger’s side. After being extracted from the Honda with serious injuries, West Windsor Emergency Services and Capital Health Paramedics treated and transported the driver to the Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center-Fuld, in Trenton.
The initial investigation by the WWPD Traffic Unit & Detective Bureau revealed the following; the vehicle had been traveling Northbound on Clarksville Road and was approximately 8/10 of a mile North of Quakerbridge Road (near the pig pens at the former BASF property). The vehicle left the roadway to the right, drove into a drainage ditch, and struck a concrete hood & (2) drain pipes. The vehicle came to its final resting place on its passenger’s side. There were no other occupants in the car.
The driver was listed in Critical Condition with Non-Life Threatening injuries. WWPD Traffic Unit & Detective Bureau are continuing the investigation. UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–Trooper Alejandro Goez from the NJSP Public Information Bureau told MidJersey.news: At 8:16 pm last night, troopers attempted to stop a Nissan Altima for a traffic violation eastbound on I-195 at Mile Post 11 in Upper Freehold Township. The driver failed to stop and troopers using lights and sirens pursued the vehicle. A short time later, the vehicle stopped in the median in the area of Mile Post 12.4.
The driver was arrested and troopers moved the vehicle to a safer location on the right shoulder to continue the investigation. The driver, Joel Morales, 23, of Toms River, NJ, was later charged with eluding and various traffic offenses.
During the on-scene investigation, the right lane was shutdown and a troop car with emergency lights was parked in the right lane. At approximately, 8:37 pm a Chevy Equinox traveling eastbound struck the parked troop car. The troop car was unoccupied at the time. Troopers determined the driver, Michael Costantino, 36, of Staten Island, NY, was under the influence and arrested him for DWI. No injuries were reported to the driver.

UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–A tow truck traveling north in the area of the 200 Block of County Road Route 539 lost control and hit a utility pole before coming to a rest in the front yard of a home in the area. The utility pole was cut off from the bottom and caused low hanging wires over Route 539. The Hope Fire Company of Allentown and Allentown EMS responded to the scene. It was reported the driver of the truck was out of the vehicle and uninjured. Hope Fire Company members directed traffic in the area until Monmouth County Road Department responded with barricades to shut the roadway. JCP&L was responding but not on location at the time of this report. Expect the roadway to be closed for hours until the utility pole can be replaced.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–Clarksville Road between Quakerbridge Road and Meadow Road is closed for an accident investigation from an earlier accident. The road was reclosed at 9:43 am. for the continuing investigation Road reopened at 10:30 am
Just before 4:00 am it appears that a vehicle went out of control and overturned into a utility pole trapping one person in the vehicle. West Windsor Police, Princeton Junction Fire Department, Paramedics and West Windsor Emergency Services responded to the scene. The victim was extricated and taken to the Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.
No other information is available at this time and once information is received from West Windsor Police Department the story will be updated and any corrections made.

WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–At 10:57 pm last night, West Windsor Police, West Windsor, Princeton Junction and Plainsboro Fire Departments were dispatched to 20 Millstone Road for a working fire. Upon arrival firefighters found an approximately 20×50 garage well involved with fire though the roof. A water supply was established and multiple hand lines were stretched and placed into operation. The bulk of the fire was knocked down by 11:35 pm and firefighters remained on scene moping up hot spots.
West Windsor Police reported that there were no injuries to any of the First Responders. The initial findings were that the fire’s origin was undetermined, however, not to believed to be suspicious at this time. The WWPD Detective Bureau is continuing the investigation along with our partners at the WW Division of Fire & Emergency Services and the MCPO Arson Unit, If anyone has any pertinent information into the fire please contact Det.
