ROBBINSVILLE, NJ (MERCER)–The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued their report on the Windsor – Robbinsville Township Tornado. It is rated as an EF-1 The Enhanced Fujita Scale (EF Scale) with a wind speed estimate of 105 mph. It was 100 yards wide and traveled 1.6 miles The tornado started at 6:56 p.m. on July 29, 2021 and ended at 7:05 p.m. The tornado began near the Assunpink Creek near Route 130 and uprooted trees and a day care center lost part of its roofing material.

Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.6 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: July 29, 2021 Start Time: 6:56 PM EDT Start Location: Robbinsville Twp / Mercer / NJ Start Lat/Lon: 40.237/-74.585 End Date: July 29, 2021 End Time: 7:05 PM EDT End Location: Robbinsville Twp / Mercer / NJ End Lat/Lon: 40.239/-74.554 The Windsor-Robbinsville Township tornado began on Route 130 just south of the town of Windsor near the Assunpink Creek. A few hardwood trees were uprooted along the highway near the Chestnut Montessori. The building lost a portion of its roofing material and several other hardwood trees were uprooted or snapped just behind the property into a small wooded area. The tornado then continued in a somewhat transient and weak manner through a series of fields and tree lines. A few large tree branches were snapped off near a farm home on Windsor Road and a hardwood tree in a tree line was uprooted across the street. The sporadic tree damage continued along Perrineville Road where a large section of a tree was snapped off at another residence. The tornado then produced an area of intense convergent tree damage near the intersection of Perrineville Road and Voelbel Road where numerous trees were snapped or uprooted. The tornado ended just downstream from this intersection at a residence on Perrineville Road where a final tree was uprooted. TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)—Police say that early this morning at approximately 2:46 a.m., Trenton Communications received multiple ShotSpotter activations for shots fired in the area of 900 Southard Street. Following the activation, police responded to the area and located a silver Chevrolet Impala driving at a high rate of speed from the location. Patrol Units followed the vehicle to Capital Health Regional Medical Center (CHRMC). Upon arrival they located a victim suffering from multiple gunshots. The victim was immediately transported inside and into the trauma bay. The Shooting Response Team was notified and responded. The shooting is under investigation by the Trenton Police Department.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Sometime around 3:15 p.m. a car caught fire traveling East Bound on I-195 around the 1.2 mile marker. The Hamilton Township Fire Department responded and firefighters reported smoke shortly after leaving their stations on the way to the call. Upon arrival a car was found heavily involved in fire and firefighters quickly extinguished the flames. Traffic was backed up on I-195 for at least a mile causing some traffic to overflow on other streets. No other information is available at this time.

PRINCETON, NJ (MERCER)– Early this morning at 4:10 a.m., a resident on Armour Road called the Princeton Police Department dispatch center to report their garage was on fire. The Princeton Fire and Police Departments along with the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad were dispatched to the address.
When Police arrived, they updated the Fire Department that the garage was fully involved in fire and the fire was spreading to the house. Princeton Fire Department Ladder 60 requested the full First Alarm Assignment. Princeton Ladder 60 arrived at 4:18 a.m.
Fire suppression efforts were led by Princeton Assistant Chief Dan Tomalin. Mutual Aid was received from Plainsboro Fire and EMS, Princeton Plasma Physics Lab, Lawrenceville, Princeton Junction, Montgomery #2, Rocky Hill, East Windsor #1 and West Windsor Emergency Services. Montgomery #1 and Pennington covered the Princeton Fire Department. The fire reached 2 alarms before being brought under control.
The investigation, led by Princeton Fire Marshal Joseph Novak revealed the resident woke up and saw fire in their garage area. They contacted Princeton Police Department dispatch center. The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation at this time. There were no injuries reported. The house is uninhabitable at this time. The residents are staying with friends.

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry told MidJersey.news that Troopers responded to 59 Conover Road in Millstone at 6:43 p.m. on July 30, for the reports of an unresponsive male that was pulled from the bottom of a swimming pool.
Preliminary information indicates that Guilebaldo Ramos, 30, of Freehold, NJ was swimming with several co-workers on their employer’s property when Ramos was observed at the bottom of the deep end of the pool. He was removed by his co-workers who then attempted life-saving measures. Millstone Township Fire-EMS and paramedics arrived on scene and Ramos was subsequently pronounced deceased. This incident remains under investigation by the New Jersey State Police.

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–A vehicle traveling south bound around the 58.9 mile marker, inner roadway, lost control and overturned landing on its roof around 5:58 a.m. The Robbinsville Township Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene, luckily there were no injuries found when firefighters arrived. The NJ Turnpike Authority maintenance crews provided traffic control during the accident clean up. The New Jersey State Police is investigating the crash.
