TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Public Information Officer Timothy J. Carroll, told MidJersey.news that there were three separate stabbings reported yesterday October 22, 2022, in Trenton.
At 3:38 a.m. a 48-Year-Old Polish speaking male walked into Capital Health Regional Medical Center Fuld with multiple facial fractures stating he was assaulted at Brunswick Avenue and Heil Avenue during an attempted robbery. The scene was located at Brunswick Avenue and Heil Avenue.
At approximately 2:36 p.m., Trenton Police Communications received a call reporting a possible stabbing in progress near Dye Street and Haggerty Alley. Trenton Police, Trenton EMS and Trenton Fire Department were detailed to the scene. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to his back. A suspect was arrested. The victim was taken to Helene Fuld Medical Center.
At 10:35 p.m. a victim walked into Captial Health Regional Medical Center /Helene Fuld Hospital with a stab wound to the chest. Upon investigation it was found that the victim was arguing with his girlfriend at the park located at the above location about being homeless and she stabbed him in the chest and then fled into a nearby building. Non-Life threatening.
Prosecutor’s Office Identifies Man Killed In Trenton Fire Sunday Morning

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a fatal fire that occurred overnight in Trenton. The Trenton Fire Department was dispatched to a residence in the first block of Summer Street after midnight on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022. They extinguished the fire and located the body of a deceased adult male on the first floor. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force responded along with detectives from the MCPO and TPD. The circumstances surrounding the fire and the death are under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mercer County Homicide Task Force at (609) 989-6406. TOMS RIVER, NJ (OCEAN)–Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Toms River Township Chief of Police Mitch Little announced that there is an active investigation in connection with a fatal pedestrian hit and run that occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022, in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Route 70.
Toms River Police were dispatched and upon arrival found a 28-year-old female victim lying in the roadway. According to a witness on the scene, the driver exited his vehicle, looked at pedestrian and then fled in the vehicle east on Route 70 toward Lakewood. The witness described the vehicle as a dark colored 2003-2009 Ford Explorer. The vehicle has significant damage to the front passenger side, including an inoperable passenger side headlight and hood damage. The driver is described as a tall, thin, white male, with blonde or reddish hair.
First responders immediately rendered aid to the victim along with EMS/Medics, and a pulse was initially regained. She was transported to Southern Monmouth Medical Center where she was later pronounced.

This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Vehicular Homicide Unit, Toms River Police Department and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office.

MILLSTONE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–This morning at 8:00 a.m. until around 12:30 p.m. over forty-five fire departments from Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex, Ocean, Burlington, Somerset, Counties in NJ and Bucks County in Pennsylvania, participated in a full-scale water supply exercise simulating a fire in a 1-million square foot warehouse. The objective was to obtain and sustain an adequate water flow from static water sources from six pre-established fill sites to support suppression efforts at the simulated fire. The flow rate expectations were to reach beyond 6,000 gallons per minute using water tender/tankers and four, 5″ pipelines.

Prosecutor’s Office Identifies Man Killed In Trenton Fire Sunday Morning

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Fire Department responded to 29 Summer Street for a house fire with reported people trapped at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022. First responding units reported smoke in the air and heavy fire showing from the dwelling and a “all hands” was called sending extra equipment to the scene. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and brought the fire under control at 1:25 a.m. firefighters performed a primary and secondary search but it was unclear if anyone was found inside the building or they were able to evacuate in time as initially reported by 9-1-1 callers.
Trenton Fire Department Engine1, Engine 10, Engine 8, Engine 9, Ladder 1, Ladder 4, Rescue 1, Battalion 3, Battalion 4, Special Services 1 all operated on scene. Trenton EMS, Captial Health Paramedics and Trenton Police Department were also on scene.
Investigators from Trenton Fire Department, Trenton Police Department, Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey State Fire Marshal’s Office all on scene. Trenton Fire Director Kenneth Douglas also responded to the scene.
Update: 6:43 a.m. the Battalion Chief reports that the investigation is complete and Engine 10 and himself will remain on scene.
