TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)– As Governor Phil Murphy announced he made a deal with lawmakers yesterday on bringing “adult-use cannabis,” aka “legal weed,” to market, Edward R. Forchion told MidJersey.News that he plans to sell weed and is having a “Grand Opening of the First Citizen Dispensary.”

NJ Weedman, Ed Forchion also said, “New Jersey Public Question 1, the Marijuana Legalization Amendment, was on the ballot in New Jersey as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment on November 3, 2020. Public Question 1 was approved. A “yes” vote supported this constitutional amendment to legalize the possession and use of marijuana for persons age 21 and older and legalize the cultivation, processing, and sale of retail marijuana.”

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO LEGALIZE MARIJUANA
Do you approve amending the Constitution to legalize a controlled form of
marijuana called “cannabis”?
Only adults at least 21 years of age could use cannabis. The State commissioncreated to oversee the State’s medical cannabis program would also oversee the new,personal use cannabis market.Cannabis products would be subject to the State sales tax. If authorized by theLegislature, a municipality may pass a local ordinance to charge a local tax on cannabis
products.
2,737,674 voted yes or 67%, 1,343,603 voted no or 33%
Governor Phil Murphy announced yesterday he has an agreement with lawmakers on “adult-use cannabis market”
Most cannabis users are happy to be able to legally smoke, use edibles or a host of other marijuana products that are available on the market as of January 1, 2021. Some are not happy about all the details of the legal market in NJ because it keeps their small operations illegal in the State’s eyes.
NJ Weedman has testified at the NJ State House on hearings on the subject that he, as a small business owner, is disenfranchised because it appears that legalization of marijuana legislation is geared for big business.
Edward R. Rorchion, NJ Weedman filed a lawsuit on November 19, 2020 in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
According to the lawsuit, the ballot question leads voters to believe that they are voting to legalize marijuana, voters were, in fact, unknowingly voting for the legalization of “regulated cannabis” to profit a Caucasian Cannabis Cartel. While marijuana, utilized by everyday people, will remain illegal.
