UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ (MONMOUTH)–Last night Upper Freehold Township swore in two new firefighters and re-swore in two firefighters and a Captain. The new firefighters were Anthony Patten and Vincent Vacchiano and two other firefighters who were re-sworn in last night were Blake Nebbia and Nicholas Brown. The captain who was also re-sworn in was Scott Royle.

 Awards were also given out during the township meeting last night. Firefighters Blake Nebbia, Anthony Patten, and Matthew Jakob, were given a unit citation for actions taken at a motor vehicle accident on June 10, 2021. The three firefighters pulled the driver out of the vehicle, as the vehicle was on fire. Due to COVID 19 this award was not able to be given until last night. The second award that was handed out was for a CPR save. Firefighters Blake Nebbia, Nicholas Brown, Vincent Vacchiano, Ryan Oppegaard received this award for their actions reviving a person.

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–Trenton Public Information Officer Timothy J. Carrol stated that there were no injuries in a multi alarm fire this afternoon on Rutherford Avenue. According to officials the fire started in 332 Rutherford Avenue and spread to adjoining structures 334, 336 and 330. Trenton Fire Department, Trenton, EMS and Capital Health Paramedics are still on scene at the time of this report. The fire went to 3-Alarms before being placed under control, but crews will be remaining on scene for overhaul.

Vincentini parked his vehicle in such a way as to block the Amazon driver’s vehicle. Vincentini proceeded to confront the driver, questioned why the driver was in his neighborhood, and further inquired as to whether the driver understood that it was a racist neighborhood. Vincentini then asked the driver whether he wanted him to go back to his car, get his rifle, and shoot the driver in the head. The Amazon driver then drove away and contacted the Lacey Township Police Department.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ (OCEAN)–Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that John Vincentini, 62, of Lacey Township, was charged with Bias Intimidation in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:16-1a(1) and Terroristic Threats in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12-3b, in connection with an incident that occurred in Lacey Township on September 5, 2022.

An investigation conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Bias Crime Unit and Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau determined that on September 5, 2022, Vincentini was operating a motor vehicle in Lacey Township and followed an Amazon delivery driver into a cul-de-sac as the driver was making deliveries; Vincentini parked his vehicle in such a way as to block the Amazon driver’s vehicle. Vincentini proceeded to confront the driver, questioned why the driver was in his neighborhood, and further inquired as to whether the driver understood that it was a racist neighborhood. Vincentini then asked the driver whether he wanted him to go back to his car, get his rifle, and shoot the driver in the head. The Amazon driver then drove away and contacted the Lacey Township Police Department.

On October 5, 2022, Vincentini surrendered himself to the Lacey Township Police Department. He was processed and released on a summons pending future appearances in Ocean County Superior Court.

“It is against the law to intimidate someone based upon their race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, national origin, disability, or gender identity/expression. Individuals that employ hatred, intolerance, and prejudice with a purpose to intimidate will be investigated and if warranted – prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.

Prosecutor Billhimer acknowledges the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Bias Crime Unit and Lacey Township Detective Bureau for their collaborative efforts in connection with this investigation.

The charges referenced above are merely accusations and the press and public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
