WEST WINDSOR, NJ (MERCER)–West Windsor Police say that on Monday morning, June 6, 2022 (Incident 2022-16615) the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District Superintendent’s Office and the West Windsor Township Police Department conducted a joint investigation into a Social Media Threat/Post.  The investigation yielded the following; the “threat” was determined to be Non-Credible and was initiated by a juvenile West Windsor Plainsboro High School South Student.  The juvenile was ultimately charged by the West Windsor Police Department with False Public Alarms pending a future Mercer County Juvenile Court appearance.  Although a False Public Alarm charge has been filed, the incident’s investigation remains ongoing and the threat itself was found to be Non-Credible.

Chief Robert Garofalo and Superintendent Dr. David Aderhold wanted to assure the WW-P community that we will act swiftly and will take immediate action whenever a a threat or perceived threat has been reported.  As always, we encourage anyone who has any knowledge of such posts/threats, to please contact your local police agency for a thorough investigation.

This Second Incident was not directly connected to the June 5, 2022 Incident where another WWPHS South Student was charged with False Public Alarms.  You can read about the June 5th incident here:
