JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ (OCEAN)–Just before 9:00 p.m. Jackson Police and Jackson First Aid Squad were dispatched to CR526 E. Commodore Boulevard and CR 527 Cedar Swamp Road in front of Glory’s for an accident. It was unclear how many were injured and/or transported but appeared to be a two vehicle accident. Jackson Township Police is investigating the crash. No further information is available.

SURF CITY, NJ (OCEAN)–Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Surf City Police Chief John N. Casella, Jr., announced that the two deceased individuals discovered at a residence in Surf City on October 3, 2021, have been positively identified as John Enders, 87, of Surf City, and Francoise Pitoy, 75, of Manchester.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. As we stated earlier, both deaths are suspicious in nature but there is no danger to the public at this time. Our investigation indicates this was a targeted attack against both decedents,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated. “We will be able to release more information once post-mortem examinations have been completed,” Prosecutor Billhimer concluded.

Suspicious Deaths In Surf City Being Investigated

EAST WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–Mayor Janice S. Mironov administered oaths of office to new police officers, Juan Polanco and Aaron Edler, who fill police department vacancies resulting from recent police department retirements. Both police officers Polanco and Edler will be assigned to the Uniform Services Division of the police department.
Police Officer Juan Polanco graduated from the Camden County College Police Academy in June 2021, and previously served as an Infantryman with the New Jersey Army National Guard from 2015 to 2020.
Police Officer Aaron Edler graduated from the Ocean County Police Academy in May 2019 and now is pursuing an Associate of Science degree from Mercer County Community College. Prior to joining the East Windsor Police Department, Mr. Edler worked as a Police Officer for Lambertville.
Mayor Mironov welcomed the family members and the large number of police officers in attendance to support these new police officers, and stated, “I congratulate these new police officers who have the good career fortune to join an outstanding, professional and community caring organization of police officers under the leadership of Chief Geary and our superior ranked officers. These new police officers have successfully passed the rigorous selection process to become part of a quality and effective team in East Windsor. ”

TRENTON, NJ (MERCER)–The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has identified two victims from a weekend of gun violence in the City of Trenton.
The homicide victim from the 400 block of Stuyvesant Avenue has been identified as Omar Burgess, 49, of Trenton.
The homicide victim from the 800 block of Roebling Avenue has been identified as Elias Juarez Lopez, 31, of Princeton.

The deaths are currently being investigated by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Surf City Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit. “At this point in time, these deaths are considered to be suspicious. More information will be released as it becomes available,” Prosecutor Billhimer stated.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
